Well hello everyone! I feel very out of touch, I have not had the chance to keep up on everyone's posts lately as I've been quite literally racing to and fro across LA and beyond for the last few days. But I have a few moments to drop a line and say good morning and what up, cyber friends and fam. :)
Tonight is closing for Little Women, which is sad... I know we will all be a bunch of blubbering trainwrecks this afternoon when we say these lines to eachother for the last time. I think this show more than others I'm getting pretty wistful about... The spirit of the story and the strength of the relationships and love between the characters has caused us as actors to grow very close to one another... I'll miss my sisters so much!
But everything must draw to a close, and we're all going off to new adventures... For myself, I have already started rehearsals for my next show, A Midsummer Night's Dream at a gorgeous outdoor theatre in Topanga. I play the "First Fairy" aka Peasblossom, which is a very fun (though to be honest, petite) part with a cute little scene with Puck & also a little fairy song. I am liking it so far, should be a lot of fun to run around in the forest all summer pretending to be a fairy... sometimes my life is so weird...
Earlier this week my mom surprised me by flying down to visit and see the show, which was such a nice treat!! I was not expecting it at all, and had been feeling like I needed a dose of mum lately... :) We went shopping, went out to eat, sat and chatted in the ridiculous LA spring heat... it was marvelous. Just what the doctor ordered.
