Lake Arrowhead Trip 2012

We had a great weekend in Arrowhead this year! It has been nice to make this an annual outing the last three years, with different groups of friends each time. We enjoy introducing people to this lovely little area that is barely 2 hours outside Los Angeles, but feels like another world.

In truth, it feels a lot like Leavenworth, WA!

We explored the village, sat around the fire, and enjoyed yet another creek walk adventure, where we again collected handfuls of wild mint for "River Mojitos", as we call them. Our campsite was beautifully situated at the edge of the campground, with a gorgeous view that changed hourly with the movement of the sun. I want to go back right now.

Our view. PS those sausages looked much more appetizing than our veggie dogs...

Our personal chef for the weekend.
Creek walk!
Sunshine. Fresh air. Good buddies. Can't ask for much more!
We definitely plan to go camping more this summer, but another Arrowhead trip will probably have to wait until next year. These city kids can't get enough of the great outdoors!
