At least temorarily... As we got out of our acting class today this is the scene that greeted us:
It looks like there was a domestic distrubance that escalated into gunfire, and two people were injured. There were black and whites absolutely everywhere, and a S.W.A.T truck, shutting down three blocks. Here's a link to the article on KTLA.
We realized quickly that our car was parked essentially right in front of the building where the shooting took place, and were informed by a nice LAPD officer that it would be 4 - 12 hours before we could get it out.
So that sucks.
But thankfully our friend and classmate Jeff was still close by and gave us a ride home, saving the day. Thanks Jeff!
So it looks like now we will find out what it is like to be carless in LA - at least for the next 24 hours!

Good luck! My sister has been braving the buses from her apartment in Azusa to a studio in Hollywood for her internship. Yesterday she texted me: "Public transportation fail." Boo. I hope you get your car back soon.
